We are getting reports mobile users are not seeing the PCT widget. What can we do for this?

Problem

Mobile users are reporting that they cannot see the PCT widget.

Environment

  • Mobile devices (iOS/Android)

  • Logged-in users accessing the SaaS product via mobile browser or app

  • PCT (Price Comparison Tool) widget expected to be visible

Resolution

To address this issue:

  1. Confirm the widget is mobile-compatible

    • Check if the PCT widget is designed to render on smaller screens. Some UI components may be intentionally hidden or disabled on mobile due to design constraints.

  2. Advise users to switch to desktop (if applicable)

    • If mobile rendering is not supported, advise users to access the feature from a desktop browser.

  3. Check for UI conditions or feature flags

    • Verify if any feature flags or conditional rendering rules are preventing the widget from showing on mobile.

  4. Report to the product/engineering team

    • If the widget should be visible and isn’t, escalate to our support team with:

      • Device type and OS

      • Browser version or app version

      • User account/email

      • Screenshots or screen recordings, if available

Cause

  • Widget may not be configured to render on certain mobile layouts

  • Responsive design limitations or breakpoints may hide the component

  • Feature may be gated by device type or screen size

  • Potential bug in the latest deployment, please report with as much information as possible.

  • Track the issue in the incident or defect log if affecting multiple users.
